The most important place to start isn’t technology - it’s change.
The tools are ready. But what makes or breaks their success is how your team responds to change. That’s why before implementing any AI tool, speak with the person in your company responsible for change management. If no one has that role, think about the impact yourself: What will AI change in your work? Will it reduce manual tasks? Replace certain roles? Create new ones?
A good starting point is to ask: What’s the one task that drains your energy every single day? That’s where AI might help most.
Once you identify the pain point, look for tools that address it. And in most cases, yes, there's already an AI tool out there that does exactly what you need. Try it. Test it. Learn the basics of prompting with tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. Don’t just use them blindly, understand how they work.
A popular entry point is optimizing job descriptions. It’s a low-risk, high-impact area that many HR teams use to dip their toes into AI. But if your problem lies elsewhere, say in scheduling, screening, or onboarding, start there instead.
Our advice in the UPFLINX AI webinars is simple: Pick one annoying task, try one AI tool to fix it, and measure the result. Then expand.
